Here are the results of last nights games:
The Consolation games were all very exciting games. Starting with the 6-8age game, the Warriors continued their two seasons with no losses with a narrow 1-0 win over the Rams to clinch a bronze medal. The 9-12age game ended in a 1-1 tie, with the Warriors pulling out a 3-1 win in the penalty shoot over the Flames, giving them a third place standing for the fall season. A 2-0 lead by the 13 plus Titans ended in a close 2-1 finish over the Warriors as time expired to give the Titans a bronze medal finish. Congratulations also to the Warriors organization for having all teams qualify for the Championship Night games!
Entering into the Championship games, the 6-8age Defenders continued their dominance in this age group with a powerful 6-1 win over the Flames. This provided the Defenders with their 2nd gold medal in as many seasons. The Flames ended with the silver. In the 912age group, the Defenders edged out the Rams in a very competitive 2-0 win. The Defenders grab the gold and the Rams take the silver for the Fall season. In the 13plus age group, the Stars struck first and sealed the victory with a second goal to win 1st place over a very strong Eagles team. The final score was 2-0.
And to end the evening, the Coaches had not forgotten how the 13+ MVP players had rigged the Championship games during the Spring. In case you had forgotten, the MVP13+ players are still being investigated for their part in the three TIES during the Spring Championship Night. This of course made the games longer, and since there are no lights at Greenfield, we had to cancel the Coaches vs. MVP13+ game. To the amateur this may all seem like competitive games that just ended in ties and overtime, but to the commissioner of the league there was more to it. Well, this time the coaches had cornered the 13+MVP team with “lights” at Rivers Edge. There was no way out for the 13+MVP team!! And yes, the coaches won a decisive 1-0 victory…… or did they? Now, the 13+MVP players are questioning whether the coach who scored the goal (his name is being withheld for his own safety) is really a legal US citizen….. The Commissioner of RVHR has no choice but to call in the Trump Administration for further investigation – Kristi Noem is checking her calendar………
